Chatty Crafty!!

I know you have all been eagerly awaiting pictures from Chatty Crafty (wink! wink!).  Seriously though, I know I have been a little sporadic and missing in action lately, but I hope you can see why....

It's the event that I have referred to many times over the last few months and well, today it was go time!

Tracy, over at Paperwings and I felt very jittery, intimidated and unsure of ourselves walking into the venue this morning.  We said a quick prayer and were quickly filled with a sense of urgency along with uncanny focus. Neither one of us said a word for 45 minutes straight. It was so crazy to have everything come together the way it did... to see everything thought come to fruition. We couldn't help but step back and have a wave of relief and pride come over us.  One, because we actually did it!! and two, we didn't look like complete amateurs!  I will have to fill you in on some of the details that went into the set up and of course I can now share some of my tutorials. BUT for now, I will just give you a glimpse of what you would have seen today!

P.S.  If you are local, you can still stop by tomorrow from 10 to 6 at Warehouse Row. Mention this post AND follow my blog for 10% off your total purchase.

Big News for P.O.P

I know, I know... I'm an awful blogger right now.  It's been TWO weeks and shame on me. I'm getting into my groove at school and I am finally starting to enjoy my class so that well help me with time management.  The other reason is that I have been overwhelmingly excited about some news I received not too long ago.  I can't remember if I told you or not... but Paper Wings and Pocketful of Poise submitted applications as well as photographs of our creations to Chatty Crafty. Our application status: ACCEPTED.  I am very appreciative of this opportunity and of course nervous about what to expect as well as the amount of time that is needed to pull off a great booth with lots of wonderful creations that are sell-worthy.  So, over the next couple of months my posts will feature "sneak peaks" that you can leave feedback on and fewer tutorials. Let's be honest, I can't give away all my secrets while gettin' crafty for chatty!

For more information about Chatty Crafty. Click on the link above. The event will be held December 10 and 11th at Warehouse Row in downtown Chattanooga.  Come out and support us!!

Moving on... Tonight's Tutorial features a completely original design. I stumbled upon this idea while working with scraps of fabric. I was working on a fabric flower design, but when I sewed the fabric in one long piece... the Slip and Slide headband came to life! Check out the complete tutorial here!
